Radiant Silvergun is gone, but is now back on Nintendo eShop:

It’s been a bit of a wild ride for the cult classic Radiant Silvergun since hitting Switch last week. The Legendary Treasure shmup has been made available on the Nintendo eShop following a Nintendo Direct reveal. But it was then mysteriously removed a few days ago from the North American version of the eShop.

Now, the Live Wire editor has explained a little why. According to a tweet from them, Radiant Silvergun was removed from the NA eShop due to a rating change. If a game’s rating needs to be changed, the data must be reconfigured on the store display. Unfortunately, the only way to do that is to withdraw the game and have it re-approved. You can find the tweet explaining the reasoning below.

Oddly, this isn’t the first time this has happened to Live Wire. The same thing happened to Mushihimesama Last year. A bit of a weird problem that happens twice, but hey, the rating change data is passed. Now you can take the SEGA Saturn favorite on the go again!

Radiant Silvergun is (again) available on the Nintendo eShop. It’s also available on Xbox consoles through 360 backwards compatibility. Are you looking forward to adding another shmup to your Switch library? Especially one so renowned? Let us know in the comments below!
