Monster Hunter Rise dominates the Japanese Nintendo eShop in 2021

When it comes to sales, it’s not only important to look at physical game sales, but also digital sales. The Nintendo eShop has plenty of titles between AAA titles and indie titles within its reach. And at the end of 2021, there is a very understandable leader at the top of the Japanese charts, and that is Rise of the Monster Hunter.

Why is this understandable? Japan is the biggest buyer of monster hunter games, even with the rise of playoffs in the west. And Rise has been selling very well since its launch.
